Checking out an Ascend system I could save a few hundred and stay under the 2K budget. The package system from SVS is looking good too.

Rick, have you looked into the Owners Club, you may be able to find something in what you are looking for in some premium finishes for the same price.
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.

Wid, the Ascend speakers are terrific. The CMB-170 is extremely neutral moreso than the M22. Look at this 3rd party measurement. You could do 3 of these with the QS4's and the ED Sub and it would be a pretty amazing setup for the price. http://www.soundstagemagazine.com/measurements/ascend_cbm170/You will also find unsmoothed on and off axis as well as spectral decay measurements on their website. And they are very good for its price class.
