Hi All,
I had to tell someone - I just hooked up the Denon 4311 to my Axiom M80's - 150 center and qs 8's and in a word it went from very good to amazing. If anyone is considering this avr to run with your Axioms imho you can't go wrong.

Very nice! What were you powering the M80s with before?
EDIT: I searched and see that you had an Onkyo 805.

I had an older Onkyo tx-nr801, then bought the 4310 and it video processor had issues and instead of getting a different 4310 I went and spent a few exta $$ for the 4311. I'm running it as pre-pro..

If you go the Denon home page - there is a listing of authorized online dealers- if you care about the warrant then thats where you can look....

6AVE has in the past been the best place to buy Denon over the net. They used to give AVS Forum members a very nice discounted price when you mentioned it when you called them.

I purchased my denon 3808 from 6ave a few years back. If they still offer similar deals on newer denon models they are the way to go hands down. Shipping was free, I paid no tax, and they are authorized denon retailers. I got the 3808 a good $500 or more below MSRP right after it was released.

I'm a little confused because 6ave.com shows the Denon 4310 price at $1,999.00 and Amazon.com shows it for $1,109.68. A big difference there. It would seem that Amazon would be the better place to buy it at.

Yeah, don't go by the price listed on 6ave website. When I bought the 3808 it was listed at msrp, you had to call them to get the special pricing.
I don't know if amzon is an authorized denon retailer. Denon requires purchases to be made from an authorized retailer for any warranty service that may be needed later.
That being said, 6ave may not be the cheapest now but it is at least worth the call to find out.

I just checked Denon's website for authorized dealers. You have to click on the "List all" button, then Amazon.com shows up as an authorized dealer.

Yes, I run a A51 Parasound. I have a fairly large room and the extra bump in power and clean sound really does the trick... Whats nice about the 4311, you can use it simply as a pre-pro because it allows you to turn off the internal amps if your not using them. Nice savings on power and heat.

There's 2 options I found on the Denon website for dealers. There's 1 for retail stores, the other is for online dealers that are authorized sellers. Its there for sure - thats how I found out where to buy mine...

I have my eye on the new Marantz AV7005 pre/pro that is due out soon (not to be confused with the Marantz SR7005 receiver). Marantz and Denon are sister companies so there will probably be a lot in common with the 4311.

It would seem that Amazon would be the better place to buy it at. That would be why I said when you CALL 6ave, as David mentioned you have to call them to get their best deals. But that $1100 for the 4310 is a VERY good deal. I can't find it for less than $1700 around these parts and that is with some haggling with the sales manager. I was trying for the same $1200 I paid for my 3808 since the 43xx is the replacement for it. I ended up walking away.
