Fair enough, J.P. To correct my record, what I was trying to say is that I think resorting to character assassinations does little for someone's cause, and actually harms it. But, isn't that how you started your screed about the Supreme Court and American society? In lawschool I was told the Constitution is whatever a majority of the 9 Supreme Court justices say it is. To me, that sounds like those 9 unelected folks sit as an ongoing Constitutional Convention. That's not what I signed up for. Of course, the alternative is that the Constitution is a binding document which confirms the limitations of government power as opposed to an open mandate of unlimited government power arising from the current controlling wisdom that the Constitution is a "living" document. There is an amendment process. I like that better than 9 Delphics
