For it to be entertaining and engaging you have to CARE if any of the characters are in danger. That's why Jaws worked, and Jurasic Park didn't. In Jaws you feared the shark. In Jurasic Park, you cheered for the T-Rex. Yawn.
2.5 hours of explosions and I was nodding off. An explosion just for the sake of an explosion is not exciting.

Awful, awful movie. Friends dragged me to it. Never again.
It's not even a good action movie, the effects suck, and it just looks so bad. Fight scenes all looked like a multicolour garbage pile vomited on screen. A total mess.

In Jurasic Park, you cheered for the T-Rex. I cheer for the T-Rex in anything that Jeffrey Goldblum is in. I just keep hoping one will pop into the scene and kill him. Of course, JP1 was light years better than JP3...
