Well, JP, at least you feel weird about it.
That helps.

I'm sure I'll feel less weird as the season progresses. Then, probably more happy, I hope. If not, then definitely more angry.

Well, as long as you're not numb, I guess.

Was looking through some older threads in this forum and came across this one. Realized I neglected to add my excitement that...
Cliff Lee is a Phillie again!!!
What a rotation this year. It is strange to be a Philly fan and feel like the division title is a lock, and just hoping the team is hitting once October rolls around. Nothing but major injuries to multiple players should get in the way of the playoffs this year.
I'll give up Werth if it means getting Lee. The Nats overpaid anyway.

Cliff Lee is worth rooting for. If there's space on the Phillies bandwagon, I'll hop aboard. Because the Mariners are going to lose 100 games again without a doubt.

It's a sad day in Mudville, with the passing of Duke Snider, the great Brooklyn Dodgers center fielder. Good as he was, though, he was thought of as the third best center fielder in New York at the time (1950s). The other teams had guys named Willie and Mickey. About 25 years later, Terry Cashman put this to song, and another 25+ years later, here we are in the baseball thread. Here's hoping your team has a good season - but not as good as my Red Sox.

Yeah, hearing of Snider's passing gave me some pangs, too. I fear that we are entering a period of our lives when this type of news is going to become too common.
If I had any connection to Brooklyn, I still wouldn't be "over" them leaving. It's still just unbelievable to me.
Zero expectations for the Mariners this year, so I can just have fun. If they only lose 95 games, that will be "success". I once again declined the opportunity to purchase tickets for games against the Red Sox and Yankees.
