Started watching Netflix's remake of the Lost in Space series. I like it. They definitely dropped a lot of money on it. Writing is good too. The original was before my youth, but I do remember watching some episodes when I was a kid, so I don't have a good comparative base. It's worth a try, even if you don't like sci-fi.

Funny, my son and I watched the 1st two episodes Saturday night. Not at all like the original but obviously quite well done. Will definitely watch the series. Another winner from Netflix.

Had to share my cave last night, have family up for a few more days. Watched The Shape of Water with a sister in law on each side of me on a full size sofa... Note to anyone that hasn't watched it yet, don't watch it with family... I enjoyed the movie for what it was. Not my usual type of show but I enjoyed most of it. And it sounded good.

Not my most recent watch, but I enjoyed Magic for Humans on Netflix a lot. Besides being a good magician, Justin Willman has a fun, sometimes dark/weird sense of humor. I'll have to catch him in more stuff.

I actually liked BR 2049 a lot. Was fun in IMAX.

Watched a couple of WW2 movies this weekend.
Darkest Hour, the political turmoil taking place in Britain as the Nazis were storming through the European mainland. Very tense, great story and top notch acting, you really feel the anguish of the British as events are unfolding, recommended.
Dunkirk, kind of a lost opportunity imo. Just never seemed to connect too well with any character in the movie. Maybe there were too many stories going on, the soundtrack too me was grating...just no breaks in the track, didn't work for me. Some good effects mind you, just could have done better on such an important historical event, imo.

After going through my usual 20 min routine of trying to find something good to watch on Netflix...no coincidence Netflix got rid of their customer reviewing system...my wife and I decided to give "Rectify" a chance last week. I guess we liked it...we went through the whole 4 seasons, lol. One of the best shows we've seen, you may need to give it a few episodes to get into it.

For those with EP800s or ATMOS a good recommendation, is "Godzilla King Of Monsters". Got it last week my 10 year old sons new favorite. Rated PG14 due to minor swearing, not even remotely scary. It's a bit on the Green peace side story wise, but the graphics and sound make up for plot. All the reviews I've seen bash the plot and give it a 10 out of 10 rating
Happy watching Brendan

Lovely Bones, via Netflix. Was expecting this to be a really good movie, some great acting but just a couple of obvious impossibilities in the story that kind of ruined it for me.
