What I do is stretch all my cables and wires so they are only long enough to connect. That way they remain suspended in the air so they never come in contact with the floor at all. Also, it prevents any unnecessary bends in the cables so the signal gets the straightest and shortest path possible. wink

I run my cables on the floor to accentuate the bass signals.

To accentuate the bass I hope you have them run on the floor close to a wall and in corners.

I do at least 10 back and forth passes on each of my corners to accentuate the bass.

I run my cables 7’ off the ground so no interference from the carpet. Still I can’t seem to block out the pesky cosmic background radiation and due to the shortsighted of use of unequal cable runs in all compass directions I think I’m picking up some interference from the Earth’s magnetic field. mad

I agree with Jake. But, you should also crawl around on the floor to listen for the best corners for your cables.

I went from 3" bassboard in my TV room to 4 1/2" and noticed a difference.
