With the I pod and I phone being so popular I wonder if Axiom has entertained the idea of coming out with a sound docking system, 2ch stereo? I recently have looked a many of them for my wife who has the I phone after my daughter got one for christmas, my wife said I wish I got one of those LOL. Her birthday is coming up soon so I got her the B&W Zepplin mini that will fit nicely on top of the fridge in the kitchen. I wanted the Zepplin but it was jsut too big for the fridge? Axiom having the audio bytes in the line up wouldn't this be a next logical step?

How about the Harman Kardon MS 100?

I did this one for the compact size and sleek looking design and great reviews on the SQ. One guy compared the bose like a speaker phone on a moblie phone to the zepplin (which is the big brother) lol Zepplin Mini

Here are some comprehensive measurements on the Harman model above. Along with a B&W model (not the Mini) and the Bozo music station. https://docs.google.com/fileview?id=0B97...iMDAy&hl=en

I think the Audiobytes with a speaker dock would be ideal, not that you couldn't already run them this way and use a stand alone ipod dock hooked up to the amp input.

That's what I do. But I do see the appeal of a single unit from the portability aspect. Can't imagine any way to get good stereo sound out of one, much less any bass.

The MS100 is superior in terms of sound quality. The B&W Zepplin has nicer aesthetics though. The B&W is not that bad for a sound dock however what strikes me the most is the MS100 has the least amount of dynamic compression. On the other spectrum the Bozo model along with severe colourations in the mid-bass and upper midrange, when you start to turn the volume up on the Bozo model it will start to distort like a mofo. I'm sure dynamic compression is a problem with a lot of these sound docks that are on the market. The Bozo measures poorly and it will definitely show up in real-world listening.
