My turn to gloat...I bought a 42" Panny plasma from Dell last Oct. It was on backorder since. Got it today and I'll be having a great weekend playing w/ it. Though the wife may not be too happy.

Still gotta figure out how to mount the VP150. Right now it's on the TV but I have to create a "shelf" for it w/ the plasma. Won't be wall mounting until summertime probably...

I'm open to any mounting ideas, here's out it looks now. I may add another shelf on the adjacent wall and straddle the VP150 OR use some BTech brackets and "float" it above the plasma. Either way, I'll have to strap the VP150 down, I am in quakey California...

Hello,

When links like that don't work, copy and past the URL into your browser address line. 9 out of 10 times, that will solve your problem.

I copied and pasted and I got a picture of a couple of 22s, and a VP150 on top a a TV which in no way resembled a plasma display. Wha' the...........?

Oh! I get it. This is a picture of his current positioning and the old TV set. The plasma is not up and running yet. Yeah, trying to anchor a VP150 in a corner could be a little tricky, particularly if you have to deal with earthquakes. The obvious is a corner shelf of some sort, to which you could anchor the VP150.

Sorry, I'm not much of a handyman.

I've been lurking here for about 8 months. I own M22tis as well and I am looking at the center channels. Your picture really hits home to me how ridiculous the vp150 looks along side the m22tis. (no offence to you) It is essentially 2 M22s side by side(short one woofer)

Millennia M22ti Specifications
Max Amp Power 200 Watts
Min Amp Power 10 Watts
Freq Resp +/-3dB (Hz) 60-22K
Freq Resp +3dB/-9dB (Hz) 50-22K
SPL in Room 1w/1m 93 dB
Anechoic SPL 1w/1m 89 dB
Impedance 8 Ohms
Woofer 5.25" Dual
Tweeter 1"
Dimens. (in.)(HxWxD) 19.7x7.5x8.5
Weight 16 lbs per

VP150 Specifications
Max Amp Power 400 Watts
Min Amp Power 10 Watts
Freq Resp +/-3dB (Hz) 85-22K
Freq Resp +3dB/-9dB (Hz) 50-22K
SPL in Room 1w/1m 95 dB
Anechoic SPL 1w/1m 91 dB
Impedance 6 Ohms
Woofer Triple 5.25"
Tweeter Dual 1"
Dimens. (in.)(HxWxD) 7.5x26.5x7.5
Weight 17 lbs per

I have never heard eighter center, but Im trying to make a decision based on the specs (2 db can definitly be heard). To me it seems, and looks like huge overkill. I imagine everyone with this setup needs to run with the center level down 2 db.

Is it really worth the extra 10-15 Hz and wider soundstage. A center rated to 400 W when your mains are half that? I feel like this is madness.

Any comments

All I can tell ya is my 22s and VP150 don't SOUND like madness. But, suit yourself. If it's MADNESS to you, do something else.

SJ, it isn't clear what alternative to the VP150 you're considering, but if you've run across any of my replies on the topic, you'll recall that I suggest a vertical M2. The reported 2dB difference in the sensitivity spec(if accurate)is no problem, since manual or automatic calibration balances speaker levels regardless of sensitivity differences. Also, differences in maximum rated power handling capability shouldn't be a consideration; that much power is never going to be used.
