Paycheck and Total Recall have something in common... both based on stories written by Philip K. Dick. As was Blade Runner and Minority Report and some Gary Sinise movie I can't remember right now. A fantastic writer who just happened to write Sci-Fi. Excellent themes circling the notion of identity. That, and some really bizarre autobiographical "fiction." Really, really bizarre stuff.

"A fantastic writer who just happened to write Sci-Fi."

As were Jules Verne, and Kurt Vonnegut. Good writing is good writing. It transcends genre.

Blackhawk Down is a great dvd to test a pair of surround speakers on.

Wow are these speakers great! I live in a studio so positioning is anything but ideal. I had to mount them on the wall about 1ft behind seating and up about 3 ft over my head (sitting. I listed to/watched the subway scene opening for Underworld (rain and thunder then bullets flying and shells bouncing everywhere around you). I watched the goblin/balrog scene in FotR. Again, everything was around and behind and above w/o the speakers being obvious. I also just watched Ghost in the Machine and as the film begins the main char is sitting on the side of a side scraper while the cities sounds are all around. There is a helicopter in the scene that I thought was actually flying over my building...
I love the QS8 speakers!

I did not know the movie Ghost in the Machine was out on DVD. Did you mean Ghost in the Shell?

Oops. I got so excited I mixed up watching a great Anime flick with listening to a great Police album! Yes I meant Ghost in the Shell. Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Millenium Actress, and (of course) Akira are all great as well. Oh, Vampire Hunter D was fun too!
