Congrats on the purchase! Is this your first Honda? My wife and I have owned 5 new and 3 used Honda vehicles in the past 20 years. The biggest piece of advice I can give is to do all the maintenance recommended in the book. (Even the things that seem trivial or redundant) Do not deviate from the schedule laid out by Honda. We usually keep them between 250,000 and 300,000 km's, and have experienced relatively no issues, except...... with two of them, I decided I knew better than the book. Ended up having more (and larger) repairs on those two.

We usually keep them between 250,000 and 300,000 km's, Isn't that only about 4 miles?

As Shawn said, stick to the maintenance schedule you should be fine. Timing belt replacement per schedule is probably one of the most important or most important of these, as it is with many vehicles(most Hondas have overlap/interference on the valves so a bad timing belt can cause $$$ repairs).

This is my 2nd Honda, 1st one is the Stream (not available in USA), it hit 100,000km last Sunday and my wife will be using it.
Hopefully all going ok with the car as I am really broke with the new house.

I've put 189,000 miles on my Chrysler Cirrus and it's still going good. These cars were everywhere 10 years ago. Now, it's a real rarity that you see one on the streets. There's only 2 in my local junk yard. Where did they all go?

They're over there. Take a left at the Monzas and the Chevettes, turn right at the pile of Chrysler and Caddy trannys, go under the the arch of Granadas and they'll be right there next to all the Renaults, Fiats and Opels.
189,000 miles! That's like 10 years in Canadian money.

Always call the place you live a house. When you're old, everyone else will call it a home.

I am sure the Cirrus' et al were parted out quickly and crushed/recycled, 189,000 miles has to be a record.

A good friend of mine had a Cirrus. "Had". Worst car he said he ever owned, from day one he had problems....soon after he bought it the head leaked antifreeze into the engine...it went downhill from there. Chrysler service/dealers were a HUGE pita according to him.

Sounds like he bought it used, where the previous owner tried to "patch it up", or, maybe not.
I've had a few problems, one is oil leaks, but that's due to shoddy dealer repair work. Since then, I've found a good mechanic who works out of his own shop in the country.
