For our home emergency kit. When we have these world events, the wife goes into survival mode... We have 2 water barrels, though I do need to fill them. Eton emergency LED flashlights w/ solar, radio and USB charging are here, as well as a few other things.

One thing I've noticed in these types of emergencies is that people are completely out of power. I remember watching news in Haiti and people were charging money for time on plug strips to charge their phones. In emergencies, we're out of power. BUT, there's a crapload of cars everywhere, and each one of those has a battery. Having a power inverter will come in handy.

Does anyone have one they can recommend? Google comes up w/ a bunch but figure someone here might have a rec.
