put a flower pot on it, one of those hanging tree things, I am sure it would get by. Hell ,I brought home a AX500 had it shoved in between the tv and speaker for a month before she asked, "Did you get one of those sub thingies?, when did you bring that home.?

The EP400 is designed to go deep and low, but because it's in a smaller enclosure, it's output is only suitable for smaller rooms.
The EP175 is more conventionally designed, but being for a budget purchaser, it doesn't go as loud OR as low.

yeh, found that out ....I want to locate a duo sub for the M80's preferrably 8" driver(s) that is good for music. I don't want boom boom boom bass either, it has to be tight and quick. Play good low notes of a piano Dianna Krall, yet the tightness and quick bass beats and bass notes on Aylanna Myles " Love Is " Just cannot get the response at volumn I want with M80 alone. I don't want a big sub either, really I would not want a sub for music, but something that will compliment the 80-'s and bring out that 28hz - 35hz a little louder and on level with the higher frequencies. This system is gear for the living room /kitchen / dining room open concept 23ft w x 30

With a room this size and being open, finding a small 8" sub that delivers what you want will be hard to find. You'll probably have to go with a ported design and a bigger box, that's quite a bit of air to move. I have heard the EP500, it's very good and is not that big.

The cabinet size for the EP350 and EP500 is the same size, BTW.

yeh ... I didn't really want something that big. I was thinking I could find something in a 8" or possibly a 10". Just thinking that if my amp is only 200w and the M80's woofers are 6.5" I must be able to find a 8" with 200 - 300w and move more air than the M80. Even a duo 8" or triple 8" sub
