Agreed. Ain't done nothing wrong other than posting in the wrong place and deciding he didn't like stuff that we do. No reason to mock him for that.

No harm taken on this end. True the Danley equipment is on the large side and to some fugly. I see beauty in engineering of horn loading. Not the harsher Klispch speakers you find at the big box store. More like their Scala line. The Danley SM "60" series is geared toward dedicated space. A well adapted horn loaded speaker is actually more tonally correct, needs less power, and yes when needed can go to high volumes with the same clarity. You actually won't realize how loud it is because it still sounds good. Some who think theres a line in the sand for PA speakers should do a little more research. Another company is JTR. If you guys have large dedicated rooms I'd think your missing out . I'll say the same thing about the DTS-10 subwoofer. You won't find a sub with more clarity and volume at low and high levels than any sealed / ported sub on the market. Since we're all online, my best advice is do some online forum reading before forming opinions. While not avid poster, I'm also an AVSforum lurker. Still in the end we're all audio enthusiast, and I've enjoyed my Axiom ownership. Now I'm looking to pass the legacy to some lucky owner to continue to enjoy them. Hate to say it but I think I out grew them. -Happy listening

Interesting that this statement "yes when needed can go to high volumes with the same clarity. You actually won't realize how loud it is because it still sounds good." perfectly describes M80's when driven by proper equipment.

i realize that the ebay bid page thus far has no bids and has been in place for 6 days thus far. it looks like so far there are no takers.
for me and my Axioms, let me put it this way "from my cold dead hands" that's the only way those things are leaving me! i can't get enough of them. everytime i listen to my speakers i am reminded that i made the right choice.
perhaps you should give them more time. having said all of that, best of luck selling them and i do hope that the new owner will be happy with the axiom sound.

i realize that the ebay bid page thus far has no bids and has been in place for 6 days thus far. it looks like so far there are no takers. I always think the same at first for ebay auctions, but lately it's been last minute vultures in "auto" bid wars. As of today 156 hits and 13 have it on their watch list. Someones going to get a good Axiom deal. I have taken into account the M80s vs M60s. Even on XPA3/5 or rack of crowns (xti, D), behringer ep's. Crossing over for a subwoofer the bottom of the m60/80 (2 x 6.5") aren't doing a whole lot. The sound to cover the room is in the top end 2 speakers (m60) and 4 (m80). Not to say doubling my surface area and power handling with M80s will help its not the direction I wanted to go. True the centers of vp150 vs 180 would give vast improvement of more punch. I'm coming from a custom center of 4 x 6.5" and 1.3" tweeter. I wasn't too surprised when my wife gave the eye putting in the vp150. It was like going a little backwards but I gave it a honest go. I really wanted to like the axioms more but at least someone else will get to benefit from my trials.

How big is your room, I have no problem filling my 8,000 cu ft + room to dB's well beyond where most should be, with no distortion.

How big is your room, I have no problem filling my 8,000 cu ft + room to dB's well beyond where most should be, with no distortion. damn good question! my room is 15 x 16 and if i wanted to i can crank those M80v3's & VP180v3 to ear and nose bleed levels (i can't and won't) so i'm trying to understand how large of an area the OP is using these things in. i am always astounded when folks say it's not loud enough. how loud is loud enough. perhaps at those volumes of constant use those users are already losing their hearing and need it louder. not trying to be funny but they say that's true for folks who use headphones at loud volumes for long periods of time that they do in fact damage and lose their hearing and need everything to be "louder" for them to have a perceived "normal" level because of said hearing loss. again, not trying to be funny either. my front 3 as mentioned are powered by an XPA-5 amp and i've never had the volume to half way more than as a test because it was so loud and painful i couldn't stand it---still sounded great, just couldn't deal with the sound pressure levels at that volume. just never understand folks needing things at such incredibly high SPL's but to each his own.

I was actually asking autobot as the Axioms are able to easily reach concert levels (120dB) cleanly if driven with proper equipment, of course from 12ft away that would require possibly 1,000+watt amps, which is unlikely for most.
