I just came across this ad blocking extension for Firefox. Advertisements are becoming more and more frequent on streaming sites like YouTube, and they really piss me off. I tested it on a couple videos that I watched just before installing it, and it successfully bypassed the advertisements. It's also available for Chrome here. I don't know how consistent it will be, but if you watch as many videos as I do, anything is worth a try. Cheers.

I've been using this plugin for at least 5 years. I don't browse without it.

I know I've mentioned it a couple times on here. Why weren't you hanging on my every word?

Personally, I don't like adblock. There's a reason that so many websites are free, and that's because they're not--they're ad supported. I content myself with flashblock, and occasionally use firefox to block images from highly objectionable ad sources, such as whoever serves up the "one simple trick" type ads. So I'm a bit of a hypocrite.

IE 9 seems decent, and has some great reviews so far, a much smaller footprint.
