My cousin linked to this earlier today. She scored an 8, where as I got a 0 (lower scores are better, 0 being perfect). Women usually score better than men.

What does this test tell you if you can only deal with it for about 20 secs before you are bored and quit?

My process was to sort the most obvious to the left and right, not worrying much about order. Then I sorted each third separately. Toward the end of each row sort, it was fairly easy for me to see when two swatches were swapped.

I do and so do about 5% of the male population compared to less than 1% of the female population.

Or whether your monitor isn't particularly well calibrated. Or good, for that matter.

I thought about that too. I'm using a professional, calibrated (using X-Rite gear, coincidentally) monitor that I use for photo processing. Cheap monitors could very well have inversions with neighboring hues.

I'm using my MacBook Pro's screen with its default color profile. Very low ambient light. I'm in bed.

I used a Dell 1558 laptop.

16 the first time, 4 the next. It helped me to block out the other rows and only look at one at a time. Both tests I was off in the teal area.

I worked for decades in photolabs, and i sure don't want to try this test and risk failing it;
the only thing i will say about it is that it has happened often that, walking on the street, i often see people smile at me in a benign way or even turn their back on me and bend in two for no apparent reason.

I can say for certain that it doesn't matter what your screen is calibrated to, as long as it is reasonably close and you have color deficient sight, you won't do well.

I redid the test with reading glasses and brightened up my monitor....got a 4 this time.

I thought that was very interesting, Chris. While I was reluctant to spend the requisite time on it, I got an 8. I'm using a dusty, $100 monitor in a brightly lit room. I'm honestly surprised I did that well.

I got a 4... What I wonder though is whether it would work better on a CRT than my LCD screen. Ever notice how colors shift a little or aren't as vibrant on an LCD? Either way, that is my excuse. :-P

Viagra does cause temporary blue/green confusion. I'm just saying...
