Almost Done
Almost done ..... now I just need a cameraman with skills and gear
The room usually looks a bit darker, and it's "BROWN" (Valspar-Labrador) but it's either to dark for photos or open the blind and to bright! My hi-tech phone camera ain't getting it.
I'm happy...... perfect "darkness" for Movies (for me) and I like the look. (didn't think I would) I even like the look from the "living/light" part of the casa
And more important .... it sounds great! 9.1 amplified with options for sides/rears (11.1, for da future! WIth plans for maybe .2)

Looks very nice Jeff. I bet it sounds excellent! Use of the in/on walls makes for a clean set up.

If you're getting Mark to do it, why stop with pics? We need to start getting everyone to post videos.

I've been thinking about doing a little walk-through video of my room.

That would be cool to see. What kind of video camera do you have out of curiosity?

Right now it would just be 480i from an old Canon MiniDV cam. Been thinking about getting a new Canon SLR that also does 1080p video. The 7D doesn't look too bad.

a very good and unintentional advertising i've read about cameras is by reading reviews of the movie "Black Swan". http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Black-Swan-Blu-ray/20029/check under the title:Black Swan Blu-ray, Video Quality

I know all about the Red One, been following the progress of Red since their announcement that they were going to change movie industry.
Even when their Epic starts shipping in quantities, it still looks like about a $15k investment to start shooting. For someone making money with a camera that isn't so bad. For a hobbyist (I've made enough to break even on my current gear, but not currently working) it's a bit steep, but getting there.
They've definitely achieved what they set out to do, though.
