Finally took the plunge and purchased a vp180. Black oak with black dust caps to match my V2 M80s. Should be here in a couple weeks or so but probably won't get to try it out until I hook it up in October after the move.

Super excited, can't wait to give it a test!

My thoughts exactly wink I wish I had a dedicated theater room to put it in but my wife is gracious enough to let me put it in the living room of the new house. Going to wall mount a plasma to free up space underneath for the vp180. Still debating on custom stand versus axiom stand but if I can part with the $$$ I'm thinking the axiom stand would be nice to have.

I was able to finally use the $25 gift card that Ian gave out for those who entered the facebook photo contest.

Now time to start thinking about selling that VP150... I wonder if I would have any luck on the auction?

I could use the proceeds from the sale towards another pair of QS8's down the line as my couch will no longer be against the back wall...

I am waiting (patiently) for a VP180 to show up in the auction in the color combo I want. As for selling any existing VP150, good luck. I guess that it doesn't hurt to post it up, heck I probably should put mine up there because I'm not out anything for trying.

I am currently winning one of the sets of QS8s out there to get me from 5.1 to 7.1, so I understand your excitement!

Hey Nick;

What color are you waiting for? We've been thinking we should get a little wishlist feature together for the Auction - at the very least we could post it so people would know what there is demand for when they're thinking about selling used stuff.

Best,

Hey Amie! I've been bugging Noreen smile for just the good ol' Boston Cherry with Black Grills combo. Nothing too unusual. I must check the auction site a dozen times a day just in case it pops up. Now watch, one will come up next week when I am traveling for work. (Hint: I will be unable to look at the auction site Monday morning, Tuesday afternoon/evening, and Thursday afternoon/evening. grin )

Yea, I knew that Amie was still blogging away, but this was a (pleasant) surprise for me too.

Just back to the boards after a rather long absence - so nice to see so many familiar faces! (Although Nick's Avatar seems broken to me. Hard to know - it's Friday.)

K, I know for a fact that there's a VP180 run coming up next week. Sounds like I need to strategically place bits of butter on the line in order to inspire a few slips then! The Auction site has fresh new products on Monday mornings so definitely you should set your alarm and check in on the morning of the 19th. Just in case the butter trick worked!

Now, hopefully it doesn't attract mice . . .

How do you find these un-posted things? Thanks! Now to figure out what time zone that is so that I can set an alarm for myself. :-)

Awe. In my excitement, I may have wanted to hold off until bidding started. I was calculating the cost at the normal opening bid amount of $616. My excitement just cost me $32. Oh well, at least I got it!

Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise....

Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency....

Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope....

Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise....

I'll come in again.

With great power comes Awesome irresponsibility.
