I was wondering if any Aximoes own the Onkyo TX-NR709 7.2-Channel Receiver? Best Buy are having a boxing day sale with this unit available for $600 ($400 discount). I remember Nick had an earlier query regarding the Onkyo HT-RC370. I look forward to your comments/suggestions. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all! Cheers, Shaun

Yes, and from Best Buy, you might actually get it. Maybe.

AC4L has the same model refurbed for $489 and an 809 for $649. I know how I'd go.
Anyone else notice that AC4L has Denon refurbs now? Excellent prices, almost realistic.

Ken, Thanks for the info, and yes I might be lucky to actually purchase one from BB. We'll see how it goes. Shaun

I've been using a 707 for quite a while now and have been quite happy with it. Easy to set up, easy to use, and I haven't had any problems with it what so ever.
It's used to run a VP150 and 3 QS4s. I use an external amp for the M80s.

I got mine from OneCall.com for $550 with a $50 gift card which I am going to use on a blu-ray player from there... That was new pricing, not refurbished (not that there is anything wrong with that).
EDIT: I just went to their web site and it is still $547 with free shipping and the $50 gift card deal.
I only messed with mine for about an hour, so I can't really say much about it myself, but I picked it for all of the features, great sound options, and build quality. It seems like a great combo to me.

Nevermind. OneCall.com doesn't ship to Canada.

No, unfortunately I wasn't able to purchase one during the online sale. I was too busy with guests during Christmas. Not sure what I will purchase yet. Still looking at options Cheers, Shaun

Bummer. My speakers are set to arrive today. The room is nowhere near ready, so I'll be running the makeshift set up for a few weeks. I'll try to get back here and update how the Onkyo performs.
