I've got a big dip in the eq curve reported from audyssey for my center channel. Dip is there but not nearly as bad in my mains. Anybway to smooth this out? I can make some slights adjustments to how far my speakers are from the wall, maybe able to move the couch a bit forward or back but not a lot of room for either. Thanks!

Actually, you have just the opposite. I talked to Audyssey about this years ago, this is actually the graph of the filters applied to compensate for your room problems. So basically, if you flip the graph you have a huge peak at those frequencies. This graph shows you what Audyssey is doing to compensate for your peak at that frequency.
I would not worry about it.

Ah, thanks for the correction. I actually was wondering if that was a dip or peak after posting.

Just use the manual EQ mode and tweak out that dip then you can also pump up the bass a bit too.

Have you guys noticed a big improvement with using the new auto calibration from the new receivers?
I have a buddy who just got a pioneer receiver, and he told me that the auto calibration that his receiver has made a HUGE improvement in his sound stage, as well as surround sound calibration.

No, Jay; as Randy pointed out, that a graphical representation of a small part of what Audyssey does in total, and there it's reducing a large peak in the room response. Also, there's no manual EQ mode which can be used to "tweak" Audyssey results. As Dr. Kyriakakis has made clear, the manual mode is no part of Audyssey, and is what he's termed a "crude" application of a manual equalizer at a few fixed frequencies. The choice is either the Audyssey results or turning Audyssey off and applying the manual EQ mode.
