Great looking basement, Jay. Beautiful work.
I really like the cork flooring as well. I've considered it for new flooring but don't think it would hold up as well as laminate.

Looks great Jason, wish I had your skills. We went with in floor heating in our bathroom reno and I've got to say we love it!

I like the bathroom flooring, myself. That said, I've just made a commitment to myself that I will never have tile flooring in a bathroom again. Or at least not a bathroom I will use in the middle of the night. That stuff is COLD! Ken, there is this new invention called slippers. . . . Tile + in-floor heating = happyfeet

Hey, I found a picture of Murph... The cork looks beautiful. I will be interested to hear how it wears. Jason, that is just beautiful work. The fireplace is fantastic. +1 to what Jack said.

Thanks for the kind words guys, the cork flooring is very warm on the feet, not so much for the tile floor in the bathroom. We had plans to put in under tile heating but my father was too impatient and wanted to try to save a few bucks as well, sad part is we had the heating element already bought and ready to go but as I said my father didn't want to wait the extra couple of days for the whole process, leveling compounds etc, now they use mats in the bathroom to keep their feet warm.
The TV is quite high but they sit back about 9ft from it and use recliners so the extra height is not a bad thing.
Jack, Tom et al, yes, my wife and I are providing this as a place for them to live no strings attached so that they can FULLY retire and do some traveling before they are too old to enjoy it; they are 73 now and I hope they can take advantage of this situation to its fullest and see all the places they have always wanted to. My wife was actually the one that suggested this idea to them, she is an amazing woman.

Right on, Jason. Sounds like you married well. I envy you and your parents that you have the kind of relationship where this is a happy arrangement.
