unscrew it 3 turns, and leave it in. if you plan on never moving you can take it out, but simply unscrewing it will break the ground connection and will be sufficient. I had to do the same with my EP600

Doesn't seem like a design I would be interested in, especially if you have to run that many cables/wires to one location.

BW, the purpose of that screw is to connect the chassis of the sub amplifier to the shield of the sub cable. Ordinarily this might allow for a slight further reduction in overall noise level. However, if a ground loop is present, the resulting hum fed into the sub cable overwhelms any other factor. Removing the screw still leaves the sub amp grounded through the three prong wall plug, but cuts the loop which could exist through the sub cable.

Sirquack, I see your point. But when looking at something that can become part of the wall, pulling out 110lbs everytime I want to make an adjustment seems alot harder than running 4 wires one time. Not to mention, the sound overrides everything and this baby can get low.

... cb919. The in cab has a seperate amplifier. The sub cable runs to it and four pair of speaker wires run to the sub. Thanks, makes sense now. That's actually a pretty cool design for flexibility of tweaking after installation of the beast - way to go Axiom! The ironic thing for me is that even though I had to do an on-wall setup for my mains, one of my optimal sub positions is in the back corner behind my couch and I could easily fit an upright EP800 there! Has anybody blended an EP800 with M22's in-on walls? Not that my wife would go for it today, but there's always tomorrow!

I hadn't really thought about that before, but it makes sense. Now if i only bother to remember that to explain it to someone else.

I was going to say that but John beat me to it (I was busy trying to tie my shoes). I should really get my priorities straight.
