I went 3D. I'm not disappointed because the 2D display is very good, 3D is awesome. Only thing I don't love is the price for the active glasses. I got them at "cost plus 10" and they were still $80/pair. Not a lot of 3D content either. Still, very cool.

Very interesting, I would love to see a demonstration of this device.

I pre-ordered the 3D Fury and received the kit yesterday which includes all sorts of cables and devices for use with various displays, LCD, Plasma, Front Projection etc. I borrowed a pair of active glasses from a neighbor of mine that has a Panasonic 3D plasma to try it out and if there was a difference in performance, I couldn't see it. I have an 8 year old 720p Toshiba and with this device the 3D presentation was equally as good as the plasma. As I mentioned in the previous post, I am looking forward to the new glasses that are coming because I understand that they will allow you to make extra adjustments to sync up the image so each pair can be personally adjusted for each viewer and potentially a better 3D viewing experience.

The only stipulation that allows this device to work is that the display must be capable of at least 720p.

Very happy with my active 3d plasma 65 vt30. The third gen panny glasses are extremely comfortable and work well over prescription glasses. I found them online for $60 each. Now if only I can find a couple more pairs...

A couple of TVs on my shortlist right now.

For 24.94 these glasses aren't priced to bad for active.

If I get into the 3D I may look into the 3D Fury for our Pioneer Plasma in the living room.

My new projector (Sony VPL 95es) has 3D. I haven't bought any 3D movies though. I have screwed around with the 3D conversion feature and it works OK, nothing exciting. I just can't get into watching movies with dark glasses on.

No way, I'm a dork. I don't like movies where things are always trying to pock me in the eye either.... It's irritating as hell to me. A porno in 3D would be a downright horrific experience.
