Many of the Harman receivers are rated under their real output. Denon, Pioneer and other brands of receivers are often overrated (but not always). (source)

For example the Denon 2802 is rated at 90x6 but really outputs only 61x6 (or 74x5).

Is the 630 really going to have upgradability to Dolby Pro Logic IIx?

Yes. So is the 430 I believe. Numerous people have confirmed this on other forums, and I have as well, with H/K. It will be done via the RS-232 port according to the customer service rep I spoke with.

The one problem I have with the H/K receivers is that they have too many lights. Other than that, I think they look very slick.

Yup...I own a 525 and love it, but I also think it has too many lights.

Tweedly is right, there is an option on the 630 (and I assume the 430 as well) that allows you to set the front panel to fade out after a few seconds. All that's left is the blue light coming from around the volume control and power switch. It's that cool blue color that they use in airport taxiway markings. I've always wanted to put them down the sides of my driveway...
