I did it. I bought the VP-160. It will be replacing a VP-150v2. Anyone who wants the VP-150V2, just go to Amazon and it is the only used one up there. So, anyone else have the VP-160 yet?

What's it like? What can I expect to gain over the VP-150?

I have a VP180 and love it, I think the VP160 owners have good reviews so far...you could also put your VP150 on the Axiom Auctions and use that money towards Axiom products...fyi

Yeah, I should have put the VP-150 up before ordering the VP-160 on Axiom's auction site, but I forgot.

I searched on Amazon and couldn't find the vp150 you're selling.

You search for VP150 and then look under used and new.

Here's a direct link:

Good luck with the sale. Used 150s don't sell real well since a number of people "upgraded". Just last night I was moving stuff into my basement that I've been finishing. My wife came across my VP150 and asked, "Does this go in the theater?" I sadly said, "No. I don't know where it goes."

I upgraded to a VP180 back before the VP160 came out, and wasn't willing to get next to nothing for the VP150, so I'll hang on to it for now. It just won't be doing any playing.

The VP160 does get good reviews. I am sure that you will have a really nice center channel experience with it.

Nick, set it up in the garage..? do you work on your own cars? I may end up setting up my M60's in the garage maybe....

So, my question is, I like how the M80's can handle high volume levels. Can the VP-160 handle pretty high volume levels also?

Second, I like the fact that the VP-150 was rated for 400watts but the VP-160 is only rated for 250watts. Should this be a concern? Does this mean the VP-150 is actually louder?? How could that be?

Don't worry about the watt rating. Just pump as much power to that bad boy as you want (within reason)!

In even a huge residential room, 250 watts should be MORE than enough to damage your ears.
