Hi, i got my new EP500 on monday April 30. i have played around with settings and placemend, and are pleased how well it blends in with the system. I just have one consern, when doing bass testing i get a rattling from the back pannel, its not noticeble when playing music and movies, but it conserns me that its there. I need to point out that i hear it clearly when the sub plays solo, even at modest levels. Do you guys and girls have any advice i might benefit from? And on a difrent note. I have tested the sub using, Transformere 3 The dark knight Thor Master and commander starwars ep3 Music. Metallica beasty boys Ne-Yo MJ. And more... Im not disapointed!!! Sounds arwsom, love when the sofa shakes Cheers

Make sure the screws holding the amp to the cabinet are tight. I would also go around the woofer with the included allen key and make sure those are tight too (but not OVERTIGHT!)

Air leaks (tightening the screws) is worth checking as well. "Rattling" can also be caused by over driving the sub but you say it occurs even at moderate levels. The first two seem most plausible at this point in time.
I’m armed and I’m drinking. You don’t want to listen to advice from me, amigo.

And not to sound condescending at all, but make sure it IS the sub! Quite a few times over the last several years, someone has posted that their sub is rattling, but really it was something in the room. I assume that's NOT the case here since you specifically isolate it to the back panel, but I thought I'd mention it just in case!

Is it reasonably calibrated to match your mains or much louder?

I remember I had some rattling once on my old 500, I could press on the back amp plate near the bottom and it would stop, I think air was leaking around the seal. Checking the fasteners as the others have mentioned might be a good start. Also, I had one wire that was hanging to low and rattling on the bass port, had to adjust for that...or, make sure you are not running it to hot (to much gain)

I had an ep500 that rattled one time and wasn't sure what the problem was. Axiom sent me a new driver, then a new amp, and finally a replacement sub. Either the port or cabinet must have been rattling, or I was just over driving the damn thing and was hearing crazy port noise. I think it must have had an issue as I haven't had any complaints with my replacement. That being said, I did put my original one through more of a torture test as part of testing it out.
