While I was doing research, before I purchased my M60s, I noticed that there were A LOT of Paradigm, KEF, Mirage, B&W, (and boat loads of) Polk, Klipsch, and Bose, but barely any Axioms. Talking strickly used. Hmmm, I wonder why.

Good point, Woody. They are pretty scarce on the used market.
I suspect that's at least partially due to the trade-in program in the past (now replaced by the Axiom Auctions). Often, when an Axiomite gets rid of a speaker, it's in a trade-in/upgrade to another Axiom speaker. Keeping it in the family. Welcome to the speaker Mafia.

Talking strickly used. Hmmm, I wonder why. These are all brands that are mass market and I would bet these companies are sales leaders (top tier) in Europe, NA or both with Bose right at the top of the list, Klipsch and Polk following. B&W would be dominate in Europe. More sales, more products available on the used market. Simple economics.

Sorry Bluejay. I gotta believe it has more to do with people getting tired, fatigued, with their inferior products.(Wouldn't be the first time I was wrong, though.)

I thinks it is a combination of both loyalty and mass market. Axiom is a niche brand with loyal customers. Sales of used axioms seem to be to freinds or family memebers as we have upgrade itits here. The large companies like klipsch for example pound out speakers in offshore factories at a certain rate and if they dont distribute all of them they find their way onto sites like ebay being sold by vendors who bought them at overstock prices. or i could just be full of ****

Sorry Bluejay. I gotta believe it has more to do with people getting tired, fatigued, with their inferior products.(Wouldn't be the first time I was wrong, though.) It's no coincidence that the top selling speaker manufacturers in the world (top selling products do not necessarily mean great products) have the most exposure in the used market. The parity would be very large to that of ID companies. Small ID companies like SVS, Axiom, Aperion, Salk Sound, Ascend would pale in comparison in sales (were talking millions and millions of units here) to that of HUGE companies that are exposed to the masses everywhere around the world like Bose, B&W, Harman, Polk, Klipsch. Ebay is economics at its finest at work.
