Honda withdrew from Formula 1 after establishing total domination over the competition. When Honda returned to Formula 1 they got off to a bumpy start. The BAR Honda driven by Jenson Button just finished 3rd at the Forumula 1 race in Malaysia. Great race! Ferrari finished 1st, BMW 2nd and Honda 3rd.

Yep, good drive for Jenson, and at least one of the Hondas proved reliable. This is my last night (2am-4am) race for a while, Bahrain gets me back to my favoutite early morning schedule.
Now, can anyone catch up with Michael?

Is it really that surprising that Honda is competitive again? You know as well as I do that they will spend as much money as possible to be at the top. Anyways, good race. Always fun to watch.

Do these Honda engines have full factory support as they did before?

Yes, Honda fully supports the F1 effort, but as to putting as much money as necessary into the program, that would be Toyota which has expended a fortune in its F1 program, almost as much as everyone else combined!

OK, now I know I love this forum. I never realised there were more F1 fans hanging out here. I am from the UK originally and went to my first F1 race in 1982, been a fan ever since. Because of my job I manage to get to 4 or 5 races per year (Including Monaco last year which was unreal!).
Fantastic to see Jensen get his first podium, which was long overdue.
Got my Axioms last week (M60, VP150, QS8), after a swap of one of the M60's due to shipping damage I will set them up tonight for a trial run. Final placement will hopefully be next week when my basement gets carpeted.

Y'all can hate me, but I hope not. I don't follow F1 that well (only through R&T) but I've always backed Ferrari. It's so nice to see them winning...

This is the best estimate I could find of team budgets. It would include sponsorship money, engines, engine development programs etc. etc.
Ferrari 336.2 million
Toyota 321.15
Mclaren 313.5
Renault 300.8
Williams 276.31
BAR 244.2
Jaguar 229
Sauber 142.43
Jordan 76.20
Minardi 50.34
