It's that time of year. My son started 2nd grade today. Where does the time go? Some systems in Georgia, where I grew up, have been in school for a week or two now. Other systems up here don't start until the day after Labor Day. I know some of you have kids entering college for the first time this fall. Others have kids of various ages. Others of us are pursuing certifications or are in school ourselves. Good luck to all the studious Axiomites!

Where does the time go, indeed. I'm taking my youngest to college for freshmen year on Sunday.
I love that Disney-rock outfit. I think you should have him strike that pose for the next 20 years and Photoshop that hat on to show the progression of time.

My kids start next Monday. And my wife is out of town until Tuesday night. It'll be my first solo back-to-school week. Not even my wife can claim that badge.

The younger two (9 and 15) started on the 8th and the oldest (19) started his second year at LSU on the 20th.
Time flies...

We just finished packing up the minivan *FULL* of stuff tonight as we head out in the morning to take my oldest off to college. I managed, through some creative packing, to get everything in, even when it looked like it would be impossible. I am standing there, impressed with my accomplishment...
...then I hear...
"Daddy? Daddy?" from my 18 year old. That is code for, "I am about to ask/tell you something that you aren't going to like."
"Daddy? Can we fit my jewelry box into the van?"
Mind you that this jewelry "box" is about 16i inches x 16 inches by 3.5 feet tall. Where the heck am I going to put that?!?!
Then I get to look forward to unloading it all tomorrow. I'm so excited! Yeah, right!

This topic points out that maybe I should change my avatar photo. My daughter is now starting junior high and the little boys are in 3rd grade. Parenthood is going by at a blurred pace. Enjoy them while they are young.

Yes. I had to take the legs off of it and that helped with the height. It just will be a little more cramped in the middle row of seats, but she is the one that wanted it.
