Now that's how it should be done.

We charge both ways, ha! When I first lived here in the 1980s it was about a $25 ferry ride each way. Now it is closing in on $100.

My daughter & I watched World War Z Blu Ray as she hadn't seen it before. I saw it a while ago with my twin 10" Velo Subs. Well, the EP800s took that soundtrack to a whole new level. The LFE was brutal & often unrelenting that caused rattles & buzzes in my room that I hadn't heard before. Very impressive even at -10 Db level...

Yesterday we watched 2 Blu Rays - 'Sorcerer's Apprentice' & 'Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters'.

There are sequences in both of these movies where the LFE is simply brutal. Similarly, the day before, my wife remarked that even her bath tub upstairs was shaking during WW Z (mentioned above), ha!

I'm wondering if there might be damaging output coming out of the 800s, such as cracking of plaster, etc. I have to rethink running at -10 Db now - -15 Db might be better...

We watched 'Tron Legacy' Blu Ray last night.

LFE was more than powerful & way over done throughout to the point of annoyance even at -15 Db. Good demo for your sub(s) though if you are into that.

I think that I'm going to turn OFF Audyssey's 'Dynamic EQ' (that boosts bass EQ when MV is below 0 Db level) to try to get the LFE down to more reasonable levels...

Went to see Guardians of the Galaxy last night. It's definitely the most "fun" movie of the summer.

Even Sharon who is not a fan of Marvel movies and especially hates, as she calls them, "space movies," warmed up to it about half way through and admitted she enjoyed it a lot.

I recommend it to folks, even if your not a comic book fan. As long as you can stay open minded long enough to get to know the characters whom might otherwise seem ridiculous and begin to enjoy the humor. Lots of nostalgic references for us medium-old folks, too.

I'm planning on taking my kids (9.5 and 10.5) to see it soon. They don't ususally go for comic book movies, but I think the Rocket Racoon character seals the deal.

It was Rocket who captured my wife's heart enough that she was able to open her mind to the rest.

I liked Guardians of the Galaxy, too. Can't wait to see Chris Pratt in more leading roles.

I've been watching Twin Peaks, finally, since it's on Netflix. I'm not sure I'm into David Lynch's groove. He seems to be a huge fan of going weird with things, which, dramatically, seems like a cop-out at times. But I keep watching, so I guess there's something captivating about it.

There was a redheaded girl playing a character's younger sister in one of the episodes. I knew her from her mouth shape, but I couldn't place where I'd seen her. I could see her older face, but it wasn't coming to me what she was in. I had to look her up. Alicia Witt. It turns out I was remembering her as a young mother of a teenage girl in Friday Night Lights, and then I noticed David Lynch had used her in Dune as a young girl, too. From Paul Atreides's creepy younger sister to her character in Friday Night Lights was a fun exercise in wrapping my head around something.

I've also been watching another Korean drama, Marriage, Not Dating. Ridiculous premise, some good moments, currently frustrating, but hopefully it redeems itself by the end. I'm watching with one of my online friends so we have something to talk about.

Also glad that season 2 of Quick Draw on Hulu has begun. John Lehr's Harvard-educated sheriff is pretty great. I look forward to more deaths.
