I have a Denon 4802 receiver and I'm wondering if my M-80's will be driven beautifully by this receiver. I read a review (I can't remember where)that Denon receivers specially the 4802 are not suitable for 4 ohm speakers which in this case, my M-80's and my vp-150 center channel. Please advice. Thanks

Dear dr,
I have denon 3802, m-80's, vp 150, qs8, sunfire sub and I am truly delighted with the result. I now listen to 85% music and although I have qs8 surrounds, I now prefer stereo listening over dolbyII or neo-6 because they sound so pure. I keep being amazed by dynamics, clarity and precision. I also find that I do not need to crank up the volume anymore to totally enjoy full dynamic and immersion of music. Those speakers are really not hard to drive. I listen at -20 and at -10 it is almost too loud (if such a thing exists!!). Denon 4800 will be GREAT with m-80's.

I would have to concur with the second post here. I was looking at getting the denon 4802 for my setup with axiom speakers and it fill the bill quite perfectly in a technical manner. However i bought the Onkyo 797 b/c it was a better price. But that Denon should sound pretty sweet. I love my Onkyo. Smooth smooth smooth.

I have a 4802 with m80's, vp150's, 2 x pairs qs8's, 15" sub, + additional par m80's rear corners for 7 channel stereo
all i can say i'm in stereo heaven, never dreamed this can sound this damm good, only two noticed drawbacks...
1st need a fairly good size room or else you loose the imaging of speakers, 7'or + cielings, and at least 15' x 20' room
2nd drawback you will find yourself sitting in front and spending too much time enjoying your gear with your mouth open.
last, if the avr-4802 couldn't drive your speakers the protection on amp would clip..
