Well, I did it! Sold my PSB 2B's and stands and ordered the M60's. After 3 months of research and reading reviews and saving the difference it would cost....it is done! I hope I can sleep until Wednesday!

The service over the phone was very friendly and laid back.Very satisfied so far. Looking forward to hearing these speakers and hope they will respond to my needs.

Cripes, I DREAMED about my soon-to be-delivered (I hope) M60s the other night. Isn't that pathetic? (No sex was involved. )

That's impressive subconscious self control. I know many of use have a hard time controling ourselves around those 'gorilla' ports.

(hey...if I didn't say something you know Peter would have.)

Danman,
Did you not like the 2b's or did you just want a bigger, louder tower?

Player8, the PSB 2B's were good but I needed more power since I just upgraded to the NAD 372 and at 150w/channel and more......they would simply strain a lot and would be easily destroyed. I kept my sub but I am not really into listening to heavy fat bass with music so it will only be turned on during films. The 2B's had pretty good mid-bass but at higher volumes, the highs strained a little. I thought this might have something to do with them originally being pushed by a NAD 320BEE but after trying my friends ARCAM with them, I barely noticed any improvement! They are good but I have heard better. Hoping the Axioms will live up to their reputation.

Spiff, weren't we still talking about vortex ports? If so, please seek help.

There's no better shrink than your own grandmother. Don't believe me? Next time you need to shrink, just think about her.

When Ian designed those ports little did he realize the type of "technical" analysis that would result.

It brings new meaning to the term "port chuffing" -- and all this time we thought the vortex design was supposed to prevent that sort of thing, not encourage it.

I'm just amazed at the restraint some of you (and you know who you are) practiced with the loose port thread!

Scott, although most of us probably suspected what had caused it to come loose, there are limits on allowable discussion even when faced with such provocation.
