Not fair. I traveled to Ottawa 4 to 5 times a year for the last 6 years and not once did any of you folk have a festival.

Went to the History of The Eagles concert friday night in Vancouver. Took my Dad for his birthday. It was a fabulous 3 hour show. Joe Walsh is worth the price of admission.

The Eagles- They are performing here in Detroit later this month. Didn't know until it was too late to buy tickets at the Arena. Only ones I found were re-sale, the cheapest were behind the Stage for over $180 a ticket. For better seats over $300 a ticket. As much as I enjoy their music, thats more than I'm willing to shell out. My loss! /Jeff

I was at The Eagles concert too, front row right beside the stage. My wife was wearing a Joe Walsh shirt from the Bob Seger concert and Joe Walsh's hired hand came up before the concert and gave us two guitar picks with "Eagles 2013" on the front and "JW" on the back. He said that they were very limited.
The show was brilliant.

Joyce and I had a fantastic time last night. Drove all the way to Bethlehem, NH (about an hour and a half North) for Lake Street Dive in a small theater.
All of Main St. lost power, so the band moved off the stage and down to the floor, asked everyone to sit around them campfire-style, and played acoustic. After ~45 mins or so a volunteer set up a generator in the back of the building so they went electric again. Even then though, there were no lights in the theater, so it made for a very intimate performance!
Joyce and I were in the center of the second row, the band played all the favorites and some great new stuff, and I got my CDs signed afterwards (I had a somewhat powerful flashlight in the van, so I became their "lighting man" in the room for the signings.
One of those memories that I'll have till I'm old! Really, really, looking forward to their new release in early 2014!

Saw They Might Be Giants at the 9:30 Club in DC on Saturday. Great show! It was my first time seeing them after years of being a fan. Got an autographed copy of their latest CD for $15 at the merch table afterwards. It's got several good singles that stand right up there with their best stuff. My favorite one at the moment is "You're on Fire". Here's a fan-shot video of it at an earlier leg of the tour. Captures the concert essence in crappy phone audio. The official music video is pretty good as well. I mean, it has bacon in it, so at least Tom will be happy.
Bears, beets, Battlestar Galactica.

I've only seen them once, but it was a lot of fun. Also, my friend had us staying at the same hotel he'd heard they'd be at, so we waited for them at the entrance to the hotel after the show. They seemed a little uncomfortable with us waiting for them there, even said they were done working, but they were good sports and signed my friend's plastic skull.
I can't remember the timeline anymore, but sometime after that we were catching the elevator up to our room, and we ended up in the elevator with them. Or at least one of them. My memory is so fuzzy now. It was awkward, and I can't even remember what was said. Just small-talk, but we felt like assholes being in their elevator, even though it wasn't our intention to ambush them a second time.
