Everybody knows Austin is the best city in Texas. Great cultural scene, and it has absolutely no connection with the Bushes.

You're a transplant, though, aren't you, Whatfurrer? If so, then you don't count. (I'm such a lousy typist that EVERY time I try to put a wink in my message, I look up at the screen, and between the bracketts I find "woink." I wonder what kind of smiley that would produce?

Might I add that Austin gets awesome concerts. Fortunately, I'm making a trip there later this month for SoberFest at The Backyard. Here's who's playing:

Eric Johnson, Terry Bozzio, Gideon's Press (incredible band from Austin), Ian Moore, and lots of others.

If I had to live in Tx., Austin is where I would call home.

Nope...Born in Dallas, raised about 50 miles south of Dallas...went to school in Corsicana...moved away to OKLA and Lousyana, but came back home...

Texan through and through...

Yep...love living here...music scene is awesome, although I do not get out into it as much as I would like...

Although my wife is making noises about wanting to move back to Monroe, Louisiana...

Something about being close when our daughter decides to start having kids...

I really hope our daughter waits a LOOOOOOOONG while to do that...

Cripe...she is barely in her 20's...only been married just over a year...

There is some history there that I will not get into..

Oh well, my troubles...

Some things are bigger in Texas.

BACK TO MONROE?!?! Well, family is first, but you'd have to drag me kicking and screaming to leave Austin. *Jerry Seinfeld voice* "Well..good luck with all that"

Anyway, on the topic of "break-in", I would definately place myself on the side that believes it's your brain that you have to "break in". I received my NAD T762 a couple weeks ago to put with my M22's (and now QS8's) and at first I was overwelmed by the amount of detail that I was hearing. The music sounded thin and sterile at first, but now after 2 weeks I've adjusted to the sound and WOW!! is it great. Hope that helps answer your question.
