Hi Metal_Manic,

It looks like it will arrive on Friday, just in the nick of time.

I used the Analog input for about a month using solely the Analog input and everything was fine.

A few days ago, I went back to try to stream music from my IPhone to the AA.

I could connect to the AA hotspot. Opened the WebUI, and tried to connect to my home wi-fi network on the Network settings. Could not see my home wi-fi network. Rebooted the AA and phone. No go.

Manually put in my home wi-fi network name and password, pressed Connect. All I get are the spinning spirals.

The AA can't detect my home wi-fi. I had this problem when first getting the AA. Then all of a sudden, one day it detected the wi-fi, and I managed to get connected whereby the blue light became constant.

Now it seems that it cannot again. It's the same router and the AA and router are in the same locations.

Any suggestions?

Hi dyxlesic,

I would try turning off the AxiomAir, then turning off your router. Power the router back up and then boot the AxiomAir. Then check the status of the LEDs on the front of the AA. If you have a flashing blue LED you will need to reconfigure it on your network.

Thanks,

Andrew

I have just gone through this entire thread again. Lots of useful info here, might be worth moving it to the Air main forum under general discussion as I do not think new users would think to look here.

We've had our AA for quite some time now (it's #42, I think). Like many, we had a terrible time ramping up...and it's still not there. My wife grew very frustrated with it and put it on the shelf (so to speak) for months. We had tried many times...and read all the advice...when we were using our old router, but nothing worked well.

Now have a new router, so I tried to establish a connection yesterday (which went fine). That's about as far as our luck went. It's again very sluggish/non-responsive in the interface mode. First thing I tried doing is updating the software (it showed Version 1.097). Tried this MANY times - the most it will get to is 60%, then just does nothing for hours.

Tried resetting to factory default today - both from the Web UI and, when that didn't work (twice), the USB method (factory_reset). Nothing. Tried a thumb drive formatted for both fat32 and NTSF. Twice each. Nothing. It won't reset - just keeps re-connecting to the Web UI, then goes back to it's sluggish old self again.

We're at the end of our patience with this thing. I realize we have not contacted you for help with this yet, but we wanted to run through all the available troubleshooting options first.

Now that we've exhausted everything the book says, how can you help us?

Thank you kindly,
Doug

Right there with you, Doug. Mine hasn't been powered on since 3-4 weeks after receiving it.

Hi Mark,

We got Doug's all working great over the phone last week. Can you send me a PM as to when would be a good time to give you a ring?

So after tinkering with the new (used) Axiom Air a day ago, one thing i can add is that a user needs to read the manual carefully and thoroughly and maybe a few times.
The small little things in it really matter.
I got frustrated trying to figure out why i first saw the Axiom Air as a wifi unit on my Google Nexus and then later on, i couldn't see it all.
Well i found in the manual that once the Air is hooked up to a local wifi, you won't see it as a wifi hotspot.
Duh.
I needed to read more carefully.

On another note, I haven't read through the whole thread so i apologize if this was answered (and Ian it may have been answered when we were at the factory but i just don't recall):
Does the Axiom Air have a 'limiter' similar to the new subwoofers that keeps it from going into distortion?
During my testing, knowing that our kids will likely take this thing on hockey tournaments and into the locker rooms, i ventured turning up the volume briefly to 100%.
Yep, it is loud, but i'm concerned about blowing the drivers of course (or rather the kids blowing the drivers).
For those few seconds, the music playback sounded a bit distorted but it also could have been the bass on the song.

Anyone got feedback in this regard?
Comments?
