Let's face it, Apple makes a good product. If it were crap, they wouldn't have so many subscribers. Frankly i'm impressed with the iOS stability. My Nexus crashes and freezes at least once a month, no doubt choking on the horrible flash coding on some pages. Apple hates it, but at least the iPad doesn't lock up. I'm even thinking the iPad screen looks better than the Nexus even though both were highly regarded and the specs of the Nexus touted as better than the iPad. It might just be a bit more glossy, i can't say.

No I won't face it, because I see so many Apple issues on a daily basis I'm not blinded by the Apple marketing. If you want a REAL tablet, buy a Surface Pro 3. I have had to support all the platforms for 25+ years. I have completely given up on Apple. My iPad - gave it to the woman along with the poor excuse of a phone 5c and I will NEVER go back. They do crash...a lot, they do get virus's, they are a security nightmare etc etc. I even gave up my 5c and went back to a old S3 while contract expired and I was much happier. It was like taking hand cuffs off. Now I carry a S6 Edge and it is awesome. Meanwhile my woman who always wanted the iPhone now hates it and wants my Edge instead. Every single Apple product I have had has had to be replaced more then once and I take care of my stuff. That's crazy. Battery issues, iPad just died one day and it never left the house, not a mark on it. Every update Apple releases causes more issues. iTunes is a complete JOKE. Wireless issues alone were just insane. We have students coming to us daily with Wireless issues. I work at a university. I have had meetings with Cisco, HP, MERU and other networking engineers and its a running gag on how many wireless issues Apple refuses to fix. Thankfully we are seeing a transition from Apple to MS by students and faculty. We can't keep up with the demand for Surface tablets. Kids are fed up with Apple's closed ecosystem and constant issues just trying to get some basic productivity out of their Crapples. Plus, it seems the general consensus is that Apple is for women and old people! LOL. They are overpriced old tech with a locked ecosystem, poorly written micky mouse software....yeah ok I'll stop. Anyways, if we want to debate Apple, we really should move it to another thread. Andrew and IAN have done a great job of keeping this thread up to date with Axiom Air info so lets not ruin it with off topic Apple stuff. I realize the irony of me saying that! I am really excited for the Axiom Air. I hate myself for missing the Kickstarter (by a few hours ) and now its beyond my reach, but the vision that Axiom has for this looks so promising. I don't want to take away from that.

Just to toss out there that your experience contains bias of course. Not everyone needs to connect to some university system and other universities may not have such a problem. We've had two iPads and multiple iPhones for years now with no battery issues or anything else of major note. I suspect there are tens of millions of others who have had the same positive experience. If it was so broke, it would never sell. So again, you don't have to face the reality if you choose, but the products aren't that bad no matter how much you personally dislike them.
But really, who the hell buys any tablet for productivity?? I tried to make a simple spreadsheet of a cost comparison on a plane because i didn't have any paper. By the end of the 2 hour flight, i ended up making 3 different files by accident and had 6 rows of 2 columns of data. Hunt and peck, hunt and peck. What a useless exercise.
I hope just because the Axiom Air has Airplay compatibility that people aren't going to buy it for productivity!

I am buying the Axiom Air to be more productive. The happier I am, the more productive I am. This is how my right brain justified the purchase to my left brain.
Mike, you are using the tablet all wrong. Who the hell uses the keyboard to make a spreadsheet on a tablet? That's what the stylus and One Note are for :-D.

They wouldn't let me take my stylus on the plane. Jerks.

I miss my original Note. Everything in it/on it still works except the som card reader. My son has been using it for online gaming since Christmas. My iPad mini keeps me conveniently connected now. Love it.

Ian, thank you for the generous gift. Please keep mine and invest it in a subwoofer output for the gateway and an EP100 v2 subwoofer with the following specs:
- 8" sealed cube - 7.5" driver and 3" x-max. - an amp that will give us 110 dB at 29Hz at 3 feet. - doesn't have to be wireless. I would actually prefer wired. - no bells and whistles. - $US400 sell
If I don't hear back, I'll use the code to buy a battery for the Axiom Air :-).

Since I subscribed to google play music, most of my music listening have been done on this service. I got the Axiom Air on Kickstarter and I think many user would benefit having google cast functionality on top of Airplay.
Having both service would remove the need to be compatible with all major music services and still satisfy Android and iOS users.
Is this in the planning? If not, do you plan on releasing the source code soon to let the community develop plugins?
