My issue is almost identical to evacdude,s
Plug AA into wired port and updated to latest version .
Now I can play music within my Androids phone but only when I use a wired connection .lights stop flashing
If using wifi with the AA , it is completely visible on my phone but when I try to play music from my phone , it will not work .Lights are flashing
To add , using wifi , I can play music fine from the usb with the red and blue flashing lights .
I did install the latest version of bubbleupnp and it works great as a renderer while I use a wired connection to the air .
After multiple attempts to get the AA to play music from the files on my Android phone through wifi , it almost seems as if the connection is lost immediately but there are no issues playing local from the usb . Both lights are flashing .

Michelangelo, how do I apply the test update? If I were to attach the ethernet cable to the unit, and update, will the unit automatically update with your patch? Please guide, thanks!

Michelangelo, I found your post on testing a dev-patch. I will install and let you know if this fixes the hidden SSID issue. Dear Fatboycarney, we prepared a new version to better understand what's going on... And probably you're not the only one affected, so it's really great that you're helping us on this. What we'll do is set up the AxiomAir in test mode: In this mode you will be able to receive the test updates. This mode is what we use before sending out an update to the public, to verify that everything works as intended. To set up your AA to test mode, go to the dev page as you did before: http://axiomair.local/devor http://ipoftheaxiomair/dev Locate "Test Mode" and press "TRUE". From now on your AA will be a test device, seeing the very edge updates. You can now go back to usual UI, and go to system -> settings -> check updates You'll see a new update is available. You can now update as usual and reboot. Now, you can repeat the procedure to play from Airplay and send us the logs. And this time we'll be collecting slightly more informations. If you want to go back to ordinary firmwares, just do the same above but click on "False" on Test mode. You can then either reset to factory or stay with the test firmware. That will not make much difference. For everyone willing to try test mode: please mind that this is intended for developers, and in some cases you may encounter updates which could break your AA seriously. So, we advise not to go in test mode unless somebody from axiom requires you to do so... For anyone having further questions, I'll be glad to reply!

Michelangelo, The unit connected to my home WIFI! There were some hiccups in playing web radio though. It initially did not show anything when I clicked on browse ... it worked on the 2nd try. When I played a web radio station, it played at top volume, when I hurriedly went to the play screen and set it to 40%< it became almost quiet. Either it is my ignorance on using the unit, or the volume control is not linear? BTW, the Android app works on my Moto X 2nd gen (Lollipol), a whole lot better than the PC interface  .

Michelangelo -- - the volume control on the android app/PC interface is not linear. I am unable to reasonably control the volume, it's either overly load, or drops to a very low volume - When I visit http://www.internet-radio.com/ to find and add new stations, I seem to have better luck with m3u links than pls. Any ideas why? Thanks again for your help!

All -- how do I play youtube and pandora on the AA?
Bubbleupnp did not show an option for either.

In one of my tests , I had the AA playing back everything my android phone did ...you tube and pandora . I believe my phone was hard wired at the time using the round jack at the back .
Turned the AA into an amplifier for the phone .
I haven't tried to play youtube with a wireless connection yet

Thanks gearcruncher. I found a couple of Android apps that may do the trick ... but they require a rooted phone. I believe Microsoft Edge on Win 10 can cast on DLNA, haven't tried it yet. On a different note, I also found that the convenient way to connect to the unit ( http://axiomair.local/) does not work on a Chromebook connected to the home wifi. Michelangelo, pls let me know if that convenient URL is supported on a Chromebook, thanks! Finally, from a design standpoint, it may alleviate the issue of extracting the LAN cable from the enclosure, if it were turned 90 degrees to the right or left. Currently, I have to take a credit card, depress the little flap, and yank out the cable (always a concern to avoid damaging the new unit).
