The old forum was perfectly fine. it told me when ther was new posts in threads I was following . I hate this and I hate change. JEZZUS

And it looks like hell in IE11 and yeah I know its old but Edge blows chunks.

Looks like crap in Firefox too. Definitely a formatting/comparability issue.

Update: Yeah, works for Chrome, Edge, Internet Explorer 11 for me, but not Firefox....

For those of you that have some formatting issue, try hard refreshing your browser.

Chrome:
Hold down Ctrl and click the Reload button.
Or, Hold down Ctrl and press F5.

Firefox:
Hold the Ctrl key and press the F5 key.
Or, hold down Ctrl and Shift and then press R.

Internet Explorer:
Hold the Ctrl key and press the F5 key.
Or, hold the Ctrl key and click the Refresh button.

Mac:
Hold down the Shift and click the Reload button.
Or, hold down Cmd and Shift and then press R

That being said, I can't seem to get to my account settings.

The page is not found when clicking on My Account from the Forum page.

Is there a way to edit forum preferences? I'm not seeing that any longer.

Lots of dead links, we are in a transition period I suspect. Still don't see a like button either.

Give them time, page was due for an update.

Agreed, Edge is the worse browser yet. This is coming from a MS guy.

I can't tell when a thread has new posts, used to be in red?

MS needs to work on tabs in Edge. I get like 4 tabs open when I click a link before I realize what going on, I need it to switch to the new tab when I click a link. Also when I open edge I don't want the MS page, just my quick loading google but nnnoooooooo I have open the page then hit the home button.

If you have Windows 10 it comes with IE11 as well.

Yeah, I am a real holdout. I have been on IE for so long its hard for me to switch but slowly but surely things quit functioning and MS doesn't seem to be updating it anymore nor are they improving Edge.

looks like the new version hasn't improved spammer security.

New forum layout, and currently 8 new "spam" posts from 8 different (new) accounts in less than a day. Maybe a better new account verification system would be a good next step...

Online on my cell the site works and looks beautiful.
The exception appears to be the missing 3 links on this page



When I log in the format changes and isn't user friendly. Any ideas?

For me (iMac just old enough to not be upgradable to Sierra) it looks the same on Chrome and Firefox. Looks like a formatting issue or twenty need to be sorted out.

This is a canned software package that may have limited flexibility for changes, unless you want to deeply customize the code...which opens other areas that need to be addressed...

Having been in enterprise IT management for over 3 decades in global companies, one thing is certain - making changes to applications is never popular. Some need to be made for functionality reasons, some for compliance, some for stability and support. I have never made changes without communicating to the users - regardless of the type of change. This would include what we found in rigorous testing to set the expectation for the user experience.

However, this is a free service run by a small company we all love...so we accept the changes

It's possible Debbie wears her hair different ever since that awful vortex port accident when she was testing the M200.

Also reporting in - the formatting of the new boards is fine if I am not logged in. As soon as I log in however the formatting is all wrong. This is true using chrome on my windows PC and on iOS on my iPhone. Yes I have done the hard refresh which cured the formatting not logged on, but when logged in nothing helps that I can find. Also I can't seem to find the button to start a new thread. I can reply on existing threads but no way to start a new one - this could be due to the formatting. Is everyone else having the same issue?

Should be a link at the top left of each category (for ex Water Cooler) called new Topic. Hopefully Steve or whoever is following this thread that people are still having issues. Have you tried other browsers?

Thanks Randy. The New Topic button was my fault and not the formatting - a stupid user error - guess it's been too long since I've actively started a new thread!
The formatting issue when logged on remains. I am posting this reply through FF right now and have the same issue I have with Chrome and iOS.

I miss seeing the new post count when I log on.

What browser are you using. I get the post count which is great, i wish other sites had it. The only thing i find is that unless i reload the page the post count doesnt go away when i back out of a thread.

I'm using google on an android phone.
The post count is shown but not the new post count, # of posts since I last logged on per thread.

For some reason I was totally blocked out for a week or so MS.{Edge}Wound up restoring my browser now no problem signing in.
Still shows number of new posts beside the categories now.

I was using the log in went to the log in page with all my password and all, but after log in was not signed in???

Ok so I figured out the new post count but you can't laugh....
I had to turn the device 90 degrees. Yep. That's all it was.

Guess it just didn't fit.

I gave up using this site in IE. Edge always sucked, and it MS's worse browser to date so don't even bother. Alignment issues and picture size issues in IE all over the place. Back to Firefox for the Axiom Site. And the mobile one on my Android works fine too.

Yep, same experience here. Even simple things like staying logged in didn't work with IE. Everything works great with Firefox.

Strictly speaking that is IE/Windows vs Firefox/Linux but I think the difference comes from browser not OS.
