My VP150 has been floating for a decade. Time for a VP160. I just need to figure out how to make it float.

And I don't want to put it on a shelf. I want to mount it on the same or similar bracket as my VP150. I'd be willing to upgrade the bracket.
I am being robbed of a vastly superior center channel audio experience because Axiom didn't build a floating center.

Guessing the VP160/180 are sufficiently heavy that you want brackets with more vertical separation between the mounting holes. I guess the ideal would be a couple of 'T' shaped shelf brackets where most of the vertical part was hidden behind the speaker. Something like this... Then again if you are mounting it low I guess pretty much any heavy duty shelf brackets would be mostly out of sight. For clarity I'm suggesting shelf brackets but no shelf...

Hi Mojo,
We are bringing out an on-wall version of the VP160. It will come with our power bracket for mounting to your wall. Would that fit the bill?

It's a good idea. I'd have to find a good way to decouple the monster from the brackets. Maybe felt pads.

Ian, that would fit the bill from an installation stand-point but you know me by now. I don't want the sound I heard from jakewash's VP160 to be sacrificed. Do you promise it will sound the same...or better?

My concern as well. Want upgrade in sound ... that's priority. But the 160 is a beast. I can't see a smaller box sound better.

Well..... just realized why I had it mounted on a shelf and not a wall mount n my previous house..... there are no mounting holes on the back of the speaker. Also... the wire connectors are smack dab in the rear centre. I have either version 1 or 11.... not sure. So... off to find some wall brackets to hold a shelf. Lol

It won't sound the same on a shelf. We need a floating VP160.
