He said the bass that does the hit the chest job is the range above and up to 100 hz. This is interesting. Could have a pair running using the avr cross over (say 100 for discussions sake) and a pair working @ 20 or 40. Wonder how it would balance out.

Since I have an EP500 which of course doesn't have the 'switch', it will be running in the flat range. I'll be teaming it up with the new 800 in the switchable controlling set up, I'll report on how it meshes with the standard EP500. I suspect it will be just fine as the 800 will probably do the heaving lifting and the 500 will be filling in things. It should be fun to see what happens with phasing and crossover points.

We need gut punch and chest punch modes. Let's see...we have the 'nads, the gut and the chest covered. What's next? I don't think I want to be sub-punched up-side the head.

Since 'nad tickling is in the 10 to 30 Hz range, gut punch is 50 to 70, chest punch is 80 to 100, sucker punch must be 110 to 130?

You may have a dip in your room that could benefit from a punch or two.

I just got off of Discogs Donovans Greatest Hits.... all 1966 to 1968 recordings on vinyl; it sounded great with the EP500. I have to say that the Anthem AVM60 with it's processing to create bass on vinyl tracks is pretty cool as vinyl doesn't have bass for sub out. It just plays bass out for the main speakers, but the sub out for the EP500 sounds really natural.
