So, I found out my BAT Integra Research RDA7 amp and Marantz AV7703 processor use different XLR standards, one American, one European. Couldn't lose the hum, so I went back to RCA interconnects. Sounds great driving M80s, VP160, QS8s and some Mission 77ds surrounds. Disappointed as I figured would sound even better with XLRs. I now have a big bundle of them in my large Tupperware type plastic container.
Using the Acme cryo outlets. Had Mark Schifter' Power Core 300 balanced power conditioner installed, then uninstalled it. A 25 lb. Paper weight. System sounds great on first listen. So far, just FM and internet radio. Looking forward to setting up the Oppo UDP205

You can get adapters that cross XLR pins 2 and 3: https://www.showmecables.com/by-category...lr-3-pin-femaleOr if you are handy with soldering you may be able to modify your cables.
