Topping D50. Native 512 DSD, 16 - 32 bit, 44.1 - 768 kHz, $199-250. Dual ESS Sabre 9038s. Love it!

Phhhhht! Nowhere near as good as my Realistic TR-803 8-track player. It even has Dolby NR. Macho Man sounds so...realistic!

Does it have meters? Where do you get your 8 track tapes?

Looks like a pretty neat little unit.

I've been using my Anthem with Tidal through Playfi. Occasional drop outs with the wireless, but still think it's great.

Browsing the Topping products their amps seem neat.

Oh for sure! With lights. Also real pushbuttons - none of that soft touch key crap. It's real manly-man gear. Just take all your FLAC recordings and record them on 8 track.

Too cool Mojo haven't seen those tapes in years.
When I was a toddler I had a portable Fisher price unit {Walkman}. Probably took 10 C or D batteries.
Used to run around with AC/DC cranked {Pull the trigger}. And the clunky thing hung around my neck with headphones on.

Have seen recently some audiophiles talking of reel to reel, probably just as rare nowadays.

You were such a fortunate child. I played with sticks and stones.

You had sticks and stones? Lucky frown

Luckily I was born a boy, otherwise I would have had nothing to play with.

Anyway, for $250, the Topping D50 with twin ESS Sabre 9038s is a giant killer. According to AudioScience it outperforms many DACs going for 10x its price.

Not compatible with 8 track players.
