All it took was 5 minutes of listening in my friend's living room and she was sold. 12' x 15' space with vaulted ceiling, open to the rest of the house. Turned up to -2 on my 19 year-old Denon, they fill her entire four story condo. I am so glad I'll be able to enjoy them when I go over.

Well, so much for the M3s in natural low gloss walnut. I took the M5s to her place and she listened between the M3 and M5 and said she had to have the M5. So the B-stock M5s in walnut low gloss satin are now bought.
Interestingly enough, the M5s are perfect in her living room with cathedral ceiling and open to the upstairs. No bass boom and no slight brightness as I encountered in my smaller living room. Unfortunately, she will not enjoy the deep and wide soundstage I have given how the M5s need to be placed on the short wall. The sound quality however is of high fidelity and very dispersive.
And I picked up bookshelf M2s in walnut espresso low gloss and M2 on-walls in bordeaux low gloss.
