Phil, I like how you've set the Harbeths to the side of the fireplace and also away from the front wall. Where do you find music on real?

I record my LPs at 15 ips on 1/4" ATR tape. Sound quality is excellent!!!

That is a beautiful system! Not many people have the skills to properly use a Reel to Reel player.

The reel to reel is pretty easy to thread and the Tascam is a honey of a player/recorder.
Not in any way intimidating once you do it a few times.
I got the 2 track because I record on the entire 1/4" tape. If you have a 4 track, then you get 2 tracks of 1/8" each.
The sound quality is stunning, although it makes no sense that it would be better than the original material, it sounds crazy good, and you don't have to jump up every few minutes (especially with 45 rpm recordings) to flip the record.
That and how cool is it to watch those big reels go round and round? Extremely cool!
