Makes sense that they would try to clear some inventory before the next models came out. I still can't believe that the current models are as old as they are. They announced the current MRX lineup at the end of 2015. I bought my MRX 1120 in late February 2016 and (since it has been so long and the deal is LONG dead that I can talk about it) I paid only $3000 CAD shipped and all for it from an authorized reseller/installer. That was about $2250 USD in 2016. Quite the steal...
I could probably sell it for what I paid for it if I timed it right... LOL

One note is that I emailed the local Anthem dealer to see if they knew anything about new models being released. When I emailed them back to say I would be patient and wait for the new models, they replied with a couple of details: "The new one will also include eArc which will be a huge upgrade over Arc. It will allow you to plug 8K sources into the new TV’s or use the TV as a source. You will then get the proper audio format back to the receiver/processor instead of 2 channel PCM."

Yeah, but I don't use Arc (I do use ARC though. LOL) so eArc isn't needed for me. I am just outputting to a projector and not using my display as an audio input for my receiver.
I'm sure that someone has that need with so many TVs with built in streaming though and wanting better audio transfer would be nice.

I'm sure that someone has that need with so many TVs with built in streaming though and wanting better audio transfer would be nice. Yeah, it's not a feature I need, either. I haven't found a single streaming device that does everything I want, but I'm not using any of those features on my TV. I tried Netflix on my Xbox One X and Fire TV Stick 4K (and I may have tried it on my UHD Blu-ray player as well), and they both had audio sync issues with 4K content. Thankfully I was able to get 4K and Atmos to work fine in the Netflix Windows 10 app. For Hulu, HBO, and Amazon content, I'm using my Fire TV Stick. I don't like that they all seem to limit resolution on web playback now, and you have to use an app or streaming device. Gotta love how splintered everything is for both content and hardware. The consumer experience.

Agreed. There is a company (I don't recall the name as it still is somewhat early in testing) that has a product that is supposed to be a sort of "menu" for all of the other apps. It has its own guide that is supposed to show everything available to you on the main apps out there that you pay for. You pick what you want to watch, it launches the appropriate app and fires up the specific show that you picked.
As you can imagine, getting all of that content coded in from companies that are competitors has to be pretty tricky.

Now is a good time to pick up some UHD Blu-rays. 4K Blu-ray deals (Blu-ray.com)If I didn't already own them, I would snag Sicario, Mission: Impossible - Fallout, Knives Out, and Ex Machina.

Have you bought from these guys before? Shipping time seems a little concerning 2-3 month?
