I think it depends on your MLP distance. I've estimated the M2 to be good to 12 feet. But my MLP is 14. And I listen to movies louder than I do music. The M2 just can't handle the movie onslaught at my MLP and listening level.

Having said that, the M2v4 is better for both movies and music than the M80v2. The M80v2 could certainly go louder but it was not an emotionally satisfying experience as far as imaging, soundstage, fidelity and acoustic disappearance are concerned. Both give a "wall of sound" BTW.

Everything I own is v4. V2 is so far back for me that it’s just history (I started following Axiom back in the V2 days). From what you have told us I did well in waiting.

The M2 lMLP is somewhere around 9’+
The LFR MLP is 14’
Both perform well in their respective settings

Yup. Many are still very happy with their v2 and ti gear.

My M2OW were at 12' and they were more than ample for my musical needs. They rocked 20 feet into the kitchen. M5OW are better but I certainly wasn't suffering with M2s.
