Dundas, that’s not accurate. All five of my speakers are set to large and I can change the crossover on each of them. And I have many times.

Hmmmm...now why would Denon have done that? The purpose of the Large setting is for full range. Setting to Large and then crossing over makes no good sense.

Not sure but I went downstairs and turned it on to make sure I wasn’t drunk and they are set on large and I can still toggle through the crossover.

Canes, do you have LFE + Main turned on? If so, it could be that frequencies below the cross-over are steered to the sub.
Edit: Not "...it could be..." but it is!

Yes, it is set to LFE + main. As I understand it when you have it set to LFE+Main the crossover setting does not limit the bass sent to the speaker, as it does when the speaker is set to small, but rather limits that speaker channel's base that is also played by the subwoofer. see: https://www.avsforum.com/threads/gu...references.2958528/#aname-Section%20IIIE

So I spoke to JC about the difference in finish and if anything could be done to my current 800 that is vinyl, to make it shiny like my 180, and he said that their finishing guy suggested that I use an automotive product designed for vinyl like Armor All. Even though I trust his knowledge and expertise, I am a little hesitant to give this a go. What are your guys thoughts on trying this out? Maybe someone else on the forum has done something else similar to this.

It'll make it shiny. It won't hurt it. But the hues will be different. And so will the shine. They'll both be shiny but different.

Okie. Soooooooo you'll experiment to find out what product looks closest to the shine of the 180.
