They just don't mix well.

Ever since I deployed my v4 sealed subs, I've had problems with my gas fireplace. The pilot light has always been strong but the gas valve operation has been hit and miss. To make a long story short, I've finally figured out the problem was the log adjacent to the thermopile. This log is functionally responsible for ensuring the pilot flame wraps around the thermopile. Without this wrap-around, the thermopile doesn't supply an adequate voltage to the gas valve. This log is constantly being rattled out of position by the subs.

I need to talk with the fireplace vendor to figure out what I can do about this. I thought this might be helpful for others.

Is this supposed to be a public service announcement?
Think it’s a one off problem … I’d wire it into place.

This isn't a loudspeaker. It's a fireplace log.

A fireplace is so pre-1945. It would be more scenic to sit in front of the warmth of nuclear fuel rods and the soothing glow of Cherenkov radiation. smile
