Found this pretty interesting myself and though I would share with all of you guys with tunable subs.

Crossover is set at 80Hz on the Denon and bypassed on the SVS. Sub level is at 1/4 in my 2800ft^3 basement. Ports were blocked and subsonic filter adjusted per manual specs for this test. Sub is calibrated flat as far as I'm concerned.

Do you really think I need a +2dB to +6db boost? It nearly causes structural damage as it is.

I'd love to help you out. Today, in fact, I'm getting the SVS PB2-Plus, which should have the same tuning ports, and I use the M60s as well. The biggest difference is in the size our rooms. But I'll let you know what I find out from experimenting.
Honestly the truth really lies in what you enjoy hearing (or feeling) the most. If structural damage is what's really going to give you that big smile and make you a happy man then I say here here!
