I loved the M22's. But by reading on here I want to try out
the m60's. I listen to mostly 2 channel stereo, rock, pop
and some country. I loved the M22's. Will I be satisfied??

What's your room size? Do you have a sub? What kind?

Yep...without those two questions answered, there is no way to say.

I know I'm in the minority, but I have heard both and didn't see enough of a difference for the upgrade to be worth it.

Todd, I switched from the M22s to the M60s and am pleased I did. That doesn't mean your reaction would be the same. Differences in taste, room size and shape, furnishings, and hearing frequency response preclude assuming your experience would be the same as mine. I'm very happy with the M60s. But there are many here who are equally happy with their M22s.

No sub and listening area is about 12 feet from speaker
location. I decided to upgrade because I liked the bass
response out of the M22ti's and I heard this was better.
I am not much for bass, I am more a mid-range and treble
guy. No sub ever in any of my systems.......

If you can sit 12' away, I say give it a shot.

I agree with the "get the M60s" comments. Just a more robust speaker. Also, you REALLY need to be thinking about a sub at some point. You have no idea what you are missing.

Keep in mind, Ray, that he's a 2 channel music listener "mostly."
If you are used to listening to 2 channel music without a sub, you should be VERY happy listening with M60s alone. And, don't worry. You won't lose anything in the mid range and treble.
BUT! A sub does add something. If you ever get into HT, and I recommend, heartily, that you do, you're gonna want a sub, center and surrounds.
Go get 'em!

"rock, pop and some country"
I went from 4 m22s to 2 m60s and the m60s are worth it hands down. BUT, at that time I was heavily into classical and unfortunately now I am into pop and hip hop and the m60s are not as good for pop/hip hop as they are for classical(but they are still really good). I suggest you look around at other speakers/brands and use the m22s to augment your system.
I think I may be in the minority though as i am a bass freak and the m60s dont have great bass output.
If i were you I would save some more money and get a really kick ass sub and then eventually down the road you can update your mains.
But then again I am a bass freak and I can never have enough bass.

I have nothing against hip-hop itself -- I happen to like a select few artists -- but most albums seemed to be mixed with bloated bass in mind, so that every wannabe with a bazooka tube in the trunk can think his ride is pimpin'.
or something

Todd,
I have M60. The bass is great , but its bass is awesome if it's paired with a sub. I have stf-2. First week, i can't stand music with the sub,but now there is no way that i can listen to music without a sub. Just my opion.

audiofan-
agree 100%.. i wasnt used to the xtra sub kick when i first hooked everything up, but now, i cant live without it. with the rich highs and smooth mids from my M60's, the sub fills the low-end void beautifully.
now, imagine how good it could get if a got a 'good' sub!!!
